International Youth Economic Forum (IYEF) will take place in St. Petersburg as a part of the Business Programme of St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, organized by the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh) and the Roscongress Foundation.
The Forum Programme includes more than ten panel sessions where young specialists will discuss economic and political issues with government officials, Russian and international business leaders, and distinguished international gurus and scientists.
The key event of the SPIEF Youth Day Programme will be the central meeting called Russia's Youth Economic Agenda for 2018–2024. Participants of the meeting will discuss the developing potential for young people as an economically active part of the population and raising young entrepreneurs’ contribution to GDP.
In addition, important and timely issues of national and international cooperation within the youth community will also be discussed at IYEF, in particular:
Information technologies in the modern world will be discussed together with famous journalists and bloggers. The session is called Young People in the ‘Post-Truth’ Era: What is Real? and will be moderated by the Editor-in-Chief of Russia Today and International Information Agency “Rossiya Segodnya” Margarita Simonyan.
Maria Zakharova will speak at the session  called Global Responsibility as a Key Attribute for Young People. Together with the Director of the Information and Press Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, participants will be able to discuss the ways of involving young people in the global agenda of economic development.
The Knowledge Economy and a New Paradigm for Developing Human Capital session will cover the essence of competitive advantage in Russia’s knowledge economy that would match ‘oil and gas’. Tina Kandelaki will moderate this session.
Ceremony of awarding the finalists of the National contest of young authors’ and educational projects aimed at the social and economic development of Russian regions My Country – My Russia will also take place at the Forum.
